We are a team of IT and business professionals with more than 50 years combined skills in Unix, JAVA, Microsoft and Oracle.
We specialize in providing Internet based applications for companies of all sizes.
The In My Area concept arose as, although we are Internet junkies, we found that the “buy online” concept did not suit 100% of our online requirements. It was OK for new and known products and suppliers, but was far less acceptable for secondhand or large items and was just not cost effective for inexpensive items.
When selling a large or secondhand item online, sometimes it is best to physically see it and if you like the item, hand over the cash and take it with you or walk away if you don’t. The problem with many of the online service is that the suppliers always seem to be on the other side of the world. We wanted to provide a service where you could find an item which is your local neighborhood or at least within a reasonable distance.
Of course our services are not new, most people would have used a Jobs Board or looked for Property online. Again the theme of our services is to find a job or property in your area. Not necessarily the Chief Executive Officer of a multi national company, more likely cashier at the local Supermarket or DIY store, where a local Job Board is far more efficient.
Sometimes, the traditional way is the best, so we have taken the traditional and updated it and made easier and more efficient for the way that people wish to live today with easy access to information via the Internet.
